WWE Money in the Bank 2024 Match Order Prediction

It’s one thing to predict the winners and losers Money in the bank 2024but how about a guess at the race order for the event?

Money in the bank takes place tonight (Sat., July 6) at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. ET with the free two-hour Countdown show on YouTube, WWE.com and various other social media outlets. That leads directly into the main card at 7:00 p.m. ET, which you can stream on select devices if you have a Peacock subscription in the U.S. and WWE Network everywhere else.

WWE has announced five different segments for the main card of this event. Here is my subjective take on how important each of these five segments is, ranked from most important to least important.

  1. Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins
  2. Men’s Ladder Competition
  3. Women’s Ladder Competition
  4. Rhodes, Orton & Owens vs. The Bloodline
  5. Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breaker

Main Event

The men’s Money in the Bank ladder match isn’t filled with a bunch of A-listers and former world champions, so it doesn’t really fit into the main event bracket. That’s okay, because a title change is definitely on the table when Damian Priest defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins, with the added bonus of Priest having to vacate The Judgment Day if he loses. This title match is clearly the main event of tonight’s card.

All the rest

There are two Money in the Bank ladder matches to place between the first four segments, so it makes sense to place one in segment 1 and the other in segment 4, to put maximum distance between them. I’m going with the men’s in the opening match, partly because Jey Uso’s entrance is super over the top and that could be a great way to start the show.

Another reason is that Drew McIntyre has already said that he will close out tonight’s show by cashing in the Money in the Bank contract. If McIntyre is going to make good on his word and win the ladder match, he should do it early in the show so that there is enough time throughout the show to build up the tension for his guaranteed cash-in attempt (and potential fucking by CM Punk).

With the men’s ladder match opening the show, this means the women’s match will take place in Segment 4.

After that I’ll get the least important match done as quickly as possible, which will put Zayn in segment 2 and The Bloodline in segment 3.

Rounded map

So here is my final prediction for the order of play on Money in the bank 2024along with guesses about the match times from bell to bell:

Segment 1: Men’s Ladder Match (22 minutes)
Segment 2: Sami Zayn vs. Source Breakker (12)
Segment 3: Rhodes, Orton & Owens vs. The Bloodline (20)
Segment 4: Women’s Ladder Match (18)
Segment 5: Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins (19)

That’s my prediction for the order of play on Money in the bank. What is yours?
