The latest indications from the National Hurricane Center show Hurricane Beryl moving eastward again.
Simply put, this increases the chance of hurricanes in the Houston area.

Beryl has emerged over the Gulf of Mexico, where it is expected to strengthen into a hurricane. Storm surge and hurricane warnings have been extended eastward along the Central Texas coast.

The hurricane warning has been extended for parts of Brazoria County.
Meanwhile, the Storm Surge Warning has been extended to High Island in Galveston County.
Now it’s time to prepare.
Voluntary evacuations are already underway in Matagorda County.
If you don’t plan, you plan to fail.

FRIDAY JULY 5 – 9:00 PM CT – As Tropical Storm Beryl moves into the Gulf of Mexico, the once Category 5 hurricane is expected to strengthen again before eventually making landfall along the Texas Gulf Coast.
