Hamilton sets multiple new F1 records in British GP blitz

By securing victory at the British Grand Prix, ending a long victory drought of 945 days since December 5, 2021, Lewis Hamilton set a number of new F1 records.

For a driver who already holds the most major records on his resume and is the most successful driver of all time, Hamilton was extremely emotional after the race at Silverstone.

This ended a streak of 56 races without a win since the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. During that period, Max Verstappen won 42 times and became world champion three times.

For Hamilton it was the ninth victory at the British GP, breaking the record for most wins in a single Grand Prix, breaking the record of eight wins he previously achieved with Michael Schumacher (France) and himself in Hungary.

It was just one of many records Hamilton broke, some more notable than others.

NOTE: Records such as number of laps driven and points scored are not included.
