The extensive Fallout 4 mod Fallout London appears to be nearing release, after developer team FOLON stated that “the end is in sight” while it awaits final quality control checks.
In a post on X/Twitter, Team FOLON attempted to clear up the speculation by confirming that it has sent “multiple builds” to GOG, CD Projekt Red’s Steam competitor, and is awaiting the “final green light”.
“Once they’ve completed the process of double-checking that Fallout: London and the installer work on all supported machines, we should be good to go,” Team FOLON said. “Yes, we have our own installer and downgrader as well.

“It is in all our interests that this final QA process is fully executed and we are very grateful to GOG for helping us with this. While it may seem like not much is happening, we can assure you that the department heads have been working non-stop behind the scenes the entire time to make this release as good as it can be. The end is in sight.”
Fallout: London was originally set to release on April 23, 2024, but Fallout developer Bethesda announced a surprise update for Fallout 4. The mod developer feared this update would impact the release.
“We’ve just been tweaking and testing non-stop to get everything as stable as possible for all of you in time for that release,” Team FOLON project lead Dean Carter said at the time. “But with the new update coming out just 48 hours later, the last four years of our work are about to come crashing down.”
Carter later lamented how Bethesda, which has made it clear it was aware of Fallout: London, failed to inform Team FOLON of its plans. “That kind of screwed us, for lack of a better term,” Carter said.
Fallout London is one of the most talked-about mods in development, letting players explore a post-apocalyptic version of the English capital. Players will interact with everything from “stiff parliamentary aristocrats to a resurrected Knights of the Round Table to an uncompromising sect of revolutionaries.” It even stars Baldur’s Gate 3’s Astarion actor Neil Newbon in the lead role.
Bethesda’s lead developer Todd Howard has confirmed that Fallout 5 will follow Elder Scrolls 6, which is still years away. The game will continue to update MMO Fallout 76, however.
