Today (Monday): The sun is shining and it’s warming up fast. We’ll likely reach 90 by noon, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 90s. Add in high humidity (dew points in the low 70s) and it’ll feel like 100 to 105. Our advice will be a frozen record, but remember to hydrate and take breaks if you’re going to be outside for long hours. The heat and humidity on Wednesday will be similar to Monday and Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 90s and heat indices above 100. There is about a 30 percent chance of some late-day storms as tropical moisture builds over the region, though the remnants of Beryl will likely track well to our northwest. It’s not that warm Thursday and Friday due to an eroding front and increasing cloud, but humidity will remain oppressive. Showers and storms are possible both days, but they may be most numerous on Friday. There is a chance that some areas will experience heavy rain and flooding.
