A mass shooting at a block party in East Detroit early Sunday morning reportedly left two people dead and 19 injured, including the 22-year-old alleged shooter, who is in custody with a gunshot wound.
The unidentified suspect, who police said was shot in the left leg during the gunfight, is believed to have opened fire around 2:25 a.m. Sunday at Reno Street and Rossini Drive, Click On Detroit reported.
Police have not yet identified the victims.
However, they told the newspaper that a 20-year-old woman died at the scene after being shot in the head, and a 21-year-old man was pronounced dead in hospital after being shot in the back.
All victims were between 17 and 28 years old.
